Calina was created for ColourPop cosmetics, a company with a mission to create quality yet affordable products. The goal of the typeface is to embody the friendly and approachable nature of the company, while elevating it to compete with other cosmetic brands. The variation of the line work implies an established and modern brand without feeling unattainable. Calina’s name, a Greek word for beautiful, extends to the beauty of the cosmetic company and anyone who uses their products.
